Who are your trainers?
We bring in trainers from all over the world known for their expertise in their fields.  Each trainer we work with possesses strong facilitation skills and is skilled in running training courses worldwide. They come with extensive practical experience as well as theoretical knowledge.

Do you offer in-house or customized trainings?
If the trainings we currently offer do not fit your needs, we are happy to tailor a course to your specifications. For example, the Change Initiative has in its tool box several popular and effective facilitation methods (methods). We also develop courses based on specific topics according to clients’ needs. Past course have focused on large group facilitation methods, trainings for dialogue and collaborative action, project cycle management and integrated approach to drug related harm reduction.

What qualifications are required to be a participant in the trainings?
You must be willing to be a full participant of the course and feel that you have either something to contribute or that you can learn from its contents. We do not require special skills in order to attend our courses. Your level of experience may vary in facilitative background. In many cases, we have people coming from all different fields with the common goal of wanting to learn how to be a better facilitator.

Do I have to be a native-English speaker?
Our workshops in general are conducted in English but you do not have to be a native speaker. We promote international participants, in fact. We do ask that your English be at least at the intermediate level so you gain the most out of the training. Our workshops are highly participatory and require that you can understand the workshop leaders as well as can comfortably express yourself to other participants.

What do the costs of the training fee include?
The training course fee includes the leading of the workshop be a certified, master facilitator, free airport transfers, resource packets, all materials needed to conduct the training, and lunch, coffee and snacks for the duration of the training schedule.

Are any discounts available? Please refer to the specific training course brochure you would like to attend. If any discounts are offered, they will be detailed in the brochure.

Why isn’t accommodation included in the costing?
We want to give participants more flexibility in choosing accommodation to fit their needs and budget. Our trainings will usually be held at the Jasmine Executive Suites (Jasmine website), which is centrally located and our recommended hotel since we receive group discounts for our participants. However, we can also provide alternative suggestions. Please email us for details.

How do I book accommodation for the training?
We are happy to book it for you. Once you complete the course registration form, we’ll send you a follow-up form asking for your accommodation preferences.

How should my sponsor make payment for the training?
All the details for bank transfers can be found on our registration form. We ask that you send us confirmation of the bank payment once your sponsor submits it. We will send you an invoice and receipt.

What is the preferred currency for the payment?
We accept Euro, U.S. dollars, or Thai baht. Please indicate on the registration form which currency your sponsor will use. Unfortunately, we cannot accept payment in other currencies.

What is your refund policy?
If something comes up that prevents you from attending the training, you may send a stand-in participant at no extra charge. Otherwise, we can provide a 100% refund if you notify us at least three weeks before the course start date. Any closer to the course start date entitles you to 50% refund.

Do I have to apply for a visa?  What support do you provide for visa applications?
Our trainings will usually be held in Bangkok, Thailand. Because the courses last on average two to five days, you only need a tourist visa. Please visit Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs (http://www.mfa.go.th/web/2637.php) for more details on how to obtain a Thai visa. We will send on request an official letter of invitation and training confirmation that can be used in the visa application process.
