The Change Initiative consists of a network facilitators, trainers and consultants operating in Asia and beyond who promote participatory leadership and facilitation. We are on the leading edge of change in designing, delivering and training people on simple, yet highly productive group leadership processes. We are specialized in designing and facilitating large group and multi-stakeholder meetings with up to 1000 participants using state-of-the art facilitation methods including large group methods as Open Space Technology, World Café, Future Search, Appreciative Inquiry, Dynamic Facilitation among others.
The Change Initiative is thebrainchild of Jost Wagner, a Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF) bythe International Association of Facilitators (IAF) and Trainer who has worked in more than 15 countries. Major assignments with the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) in India, the German Embassy in Bangkok and the Resource Link ConsultingGroup. From Germany,he graduated first in Sociology at the University of Trier, Germany in 1999 andalso holds a degree in economics. He is concurrently the country representativeof the IAF in Thailand andthe coordinator of the Facilitator Forum Thailand. He speaks German,English, French and Spanish but also has a decent command of Thai.
Ruben van der Laan (born
1974 in Canada)
is a professional facilitator and change manager. He grew up in France and studied in the Netherlands
where he started his career. He moved to Bangkok,
Thailand at the
beginning of 2009. He dedicates himself to lasting change, be it for a one-day
seminar of a long assignment for several months. He has been an active member
of the iTeam Studio in the Netherlands
for the past 4 years. His motto is Einstein's: 'logic will get you from A to B,
imagination will get you everywhere.'
Tien Truong, a Vietnamese-American
citizen, has been engaged in the Southeast Asia region since receiving her psychology
degree with a concentration in neuroscience at Berea College. She has notable experience working in Myanmar/ Burma,
Vietnam and Thailand on
diverse humanitarian issues including disaster relief and rehabilitation,
education, public health, HIV/AIDS, community development and conflict
mitigation. She offers skills in programme
coordination/ development, resource mobilisation, communications, research,
training and facilitation. Her current
home is in Bangkok.
Dao Makkitti Wehrhahn's 17 year-entire career
has been people oriented, intangible sales and services related. Starting as a
recruitment consultant, then becoming a Leader and Entrepreneur setting up
companies, assisting and working with multinational clients in Thailand, South East Asian countries as well as Australia for
their recruitment and people management consulting assignments.
Dao is a Managing
Director and Partner of Resource Link Consulting Group - the leading
recruitment and executive search company with offices in Bangkok,
Thailand and Perth, Australia.
Dao is also one of the Change-Initiative co-founders and is currently working mainly with corporate clients.
Dao is fluent in Thai,
English with fair understanding of Japanese and Chinese Cantonese.
