ADB Health Impact Assessment Forum in Bangkok, November 2017
The Regional Health Impact Assessment Forum on 28-30 November 2017 at the Centara Grand Hotel with the theme: Healthy Infrastructure for Healthy Economies was a great success. It aimed to share policy recommendations, health impact assessment (HIA) tools and case studies, capacity development and experiences of the HIA efforts in the region. The forum brought together stakeholders from public and private sectors, civil society, and academia. The first day on 28th was dedicated to Special Economic Zones. The highly interactive forum was facilitated by Jost Wagner and his team to ensure full engagement of all participants. Marketplace, Visioning, Backcasting, Caravan/Rotating Stations and many other methodologies woven together kept participants active for three days to ensure peer-to-peer learning. Dr. Susann Roth of the ADB and main responsible person for organizing this event wrote a blog on the important nexus of SEZ and HIA.
