GIZ Organised the 3rd Regional Policy Dialogue on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)

Recently, GIZ organised the 3rd Regional Policy Dialogue on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), together with the ASEAN Secretariat and Thailand´s Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC). The conference was aimed at creating a common understanding of quality and quality assurance in TVET and in TVET personnel development, exchanging on key success factors for increasing quality and relevance of TVET while focusing on TVET personnel development, mapping out regional perspectives on quality assurance in teaching and skills development and also identify measures and methods for bridging the gap from regional to national level. The conference was opened by Dr. Suphat Champatong, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Thailand with additional opening remarks from H.E.Mr. Vongthep Arthakaivalvatee, Deputy Secretary-General, ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Department, ASEAN Secretariat and Dr.Nils Geissler, Programme Director, RECOTVET, GIZ. Jost Wagner from the Change Initiative facilitated for the 2nd time the dialogue forum.
