TCI supports Malaria Week

The Change Initiative Team led by Jost Wagner will support the Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance in the design, facilitation and some logistics of various meetings at the Malaria Week scheduled for in May 2016 in Bangkok. This assignment comes at challenging times. Malaria is still a life-threatening disease caused by parasites that are transmitted to people through the bites of infected mosquitoes. About half of the worlds’ population is at risk of malaria, particularly those in lower-income countries. It infects more than 500 million people each year and kills more than one million people, according to WHO. The Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance (APLMA) addresses the challenges of malaria drug resistance & ultimately aims to eliminate malaria from the region.
